It is the King vs the (once) Prime Minister this winter at the box office as Shah Rukh Khan’s Zero releases alongside Anupam Kher’s The Accidental Prime Minister, on December 21. While

Aanand L Rai’s Zero reportedly has SRK playing a dwarf with the movie celebrating life’s imperfections, and the latter is a biographical political drama directed by Vijay Ratnakar Gutte and based on a book by Sanjaya Baru on former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh’s life. Two other films, Simmba and Total Dhamaal, are scheduled to release the same time, taking away the King’s exclusive Christmas spot and leaving movie-goers spoilt for a variety of choices.

It is interesting here to note that some of SRK’s most loved films also starred Anupam Kher, and the two share a great rapport. Some superhits they delivered together include Dilwale Dulhania Le Jaayenga, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Mohabbatein, Veer-Zaara and Darr. Will this be a win-win situation for the two veterans? We can only wait and watch!
