Actor Sruthi Hariharan has claimed that she has submitted video proof against Arjun Sarja to the court. She also spoke about receiving life threats and vulgar messages.
Bengaluru: Actor Sruthi Hariharan has revealed that she has submitted a video proof to the Karnataka high court with respect to the sexual harassment allegations made by her against actor Arjun Sarja.
"This is strong proof and I have submitted the CD of the video (of my being threatened) to the high court," Sruthi told media in Bengaluru.
She also said that she has been receiving intimidating phone calls since the day she made the allegations against Sarja. "I am not scared of these threats," she said.
Currently, Hariharan has filed a complaint about the issue with the State Women's Commission after explaining to the chairperson Nagalakshmi Bai, her account of the harassment incident.
Meanwhile, Karnataka high court is hearing the petition filed by Sruthi Hariharan to quash the FIR filed against her by the cyber crime police. Justice Dinesh Kumar is hearing the case.
An FIR was filed against Hariharan alleging that she had made defamatory statements against Sarja on social media. Sruthi has denied the claims. "I have not made any defamatory statements on social media against Sarja. But the police have filed two cases against me. So the FIR should be quashed on this basis," she said.
On behalf of Arjun Sarja, his manager Shivarjun had filed complaints with the police commissioner Suneel Kumar.
Early last month, Sruthi had alleged that Arjun Sarja misbehaved with her on the sets of Kannada-Tamil movie Vismaya-Nibunan, where she had played his wife on screen.
