Bengaluru: It isn’t even the actor’s birthday yet, but tweets wishing Dhanush for his birthday are all over social media. Dhanush, also Rajinikanth’s son-in-law, entered the film industry at the young age of 16.

His debut film, Thulluvadho Ilamai, was directed by his father Kasthuri Raja and his performance has been lauded by critics ever since.

Dhanush’s second film Kadhal Kondein with his brother Selvaraghavan established him as a rising star and there was no looking back for this actor.

Not long after, he had already carved a niche for himself and won the hearts of the audience with his impeccable comic timing, acting, dancing and even singing.

The actor’s song Why this kolaveri di became a national hit and a youth anthem of sorts when the film 3 was slated for release.

Dhanush has also forayed into Hollywood with The Extraordinary Journey of the Fakir.

The actor is about to celebrate his 36th birthday and social media is already flooded with wishes from his fans and other fan clubs.

Last year, the makers of Vada Chennai released the trailer of the film on his birthday as a surprise. This year, fans are eagerly waiting to see if the title, poster or any other update of Dhanush’s next venture will be released. Dhanush has been working simultaneously in director Vetri Maaran’s film and also in Durai Senthilkumar’s next. While his film with Vetri Maaran is titled as Asuran, the title of his film with Durai is yet to be known.

However, rumours are doing the rounds that the next film is going to be titled Pattas, meaning firecracker. Confirmation on the same is awaited on Dhanush’s birthday.

Dhanush is believed to be playing dual roles in this film, much like his last outing with the director in Kodi, wherein he had essayed dual roles - that of twin brothers.

Cinematographer Om Prakash is cranking the camera and this will be his fourth outing with Dhanush after Maari, Anegan and Maari 2.
