New Delhi: Congress spokesperson Priyanka Chaturvedi has given rise to a suspicion that her stint with Congress is over after she has removed ‘AICC Spokesperson' from her Twitter bio. That’s not all. She has also quit the official Congress WhatsApp group.

A purported screenshot of a WhatsApp group going by the name of ‘AICC Online Media’ is doing the rounds, and it clearly shows “Chaturvedi ‘left’ the group”.

It all started when the Congress national spokesperson spoke out against her party after it reinstated some party leaders who had recently misbehaved with her. Chaturvedi took to social media while re-tweeting a journalist who attached a photo of a Congress notice that talked about how Priyanka Chaturvedi had recently complained about a few party leaders misbehaving with her. In the letter, the Congress said that the party leaders were suspended following Chaturvedi's complaint.

The letter added that the Uttar Pradesh Congress has decided to grant relief to the leaders and reinstate them following an intervention by Jyotiraditya Scindia, the Congress general secretary in-charge of Uttar Pradesh West.

Following this Chaturvedi tweeted, "Deeply saddened that lumpen goons get preference [sic] in @incindia [Congress] over those who have given their sweat & blood.” Ever since Chaturvedi — one of the prominent faces of the Congress — went incommunicado, she has not only refused to take calls from journalists but from many party leaders as well.

But with the latest twist in the tale, many are left wondering whether Priyanka is sleazing the Congress party as well. What has left the grand old party startled is the speculation that she too may follow in the footsteps of her former colleague and former Congress spokesperson Tom Vadakkan by joining BJP.

Priyanka has also been unhappy on being denied a ticket from Mumbai. Though still speculation, Congress is scared BJP may use it against their party in the middle of peak poll season, particularly cornering Priyanka Vadra on being mum on the alleged harassment of one of their own.
