Bengaluru: Former India all-rounder Yuvraj Singh celebrated his 38th birthday today (December 12) and cricketers, fans took to social media to convey their wishes to the 2011 World Cup hero.

Batting legend Sachin Tendulkar called Yuvraj ‘superstar’ as he wished the left-handed batsman on Thursday. “Wishing the ‘SUPERSTAR’, a very happy birthday! May God always keep you healthy and happy in life Yuvi.”

Yuvraj, who was born on December 12, 1981, played 40 Tests, 304 ODIs and 58 T20Is for India. He was instrumental in India winning the 2011 World Cup at home. He was won the Man-of-the-series award.

The left-hander announced his retirement this year. However, he was recently seen in the Abu Dhabi T20 league.

The official Twitter handle of the International Cricket Council (ICC) tweeted the video of Yuvraj hitting six sixes in an over off England bowler Stuart Broad during the ICC World T20 in 2007.

India cricketers including captain Virat Kohli, Jasprit Bumrah and others took to the micro-blogging website Twitter to wish Yuvraj.
