Vizianagaram (Andhra Pradesh): Captain Manish Pandey blazed his way to an unbeaten 129 off 54 and Shreyas Gopal took five wickets as Karnataka thrashed Services by 80 runs in a Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy Twenty20 match in Vizianagaram on Tuesday (November 12).

After posting a mammoth 250/3 in 20 overs, Karnataka restricted Services to 170/7 in 20 overs. Gopal took 5/19 in four overs. Ravi Chauhan top-scored for Services with 54.

Earlier, sent to bat first, Karnataka batsmen made merry. Pandey, who was part of the Indian T20I team that won the series 2-1 against Bangladesh on Sunday (November 10), blasted 12 fours and 10 sixes in his century.

Left-handed Devdutt Padikkal, who hit a record 122 not out against Andhra in the previous game, continued his fine form to score 75 off 43 balls with eight fours and four sixes. Padikkal and Pandey put on 167 runs for the second wicket.

After four games, Karnataka sit on top of the table in Group A with 12 points. They have won three and lost one, to Baroda, who are placed second with 12 points.
