Dubai: India fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah has lost his top spot in the latest International Cricket Council’s (ICC) ODI Rankings. New Zealand’s Trent Boult is the new number one bowler.

In the recently concluded three-ODI series against New Zealand, Bumrah failed to take wickets in all three matches. It was a rare three-match period where he went wicketless. India lost the rubber 0-3.

Bumrah had bowled 30 overs for 167 runs in the series without taking a wicket. He had bowled one maiden.

Now, Bumrah has 719 rating points and is at second spot. Boult is on top with 727 rating points. Afghanistan’s Mujeeb Ur Rahman is at third position with 701 rating points. South Africa’s Kagiso Rabada is at fourth followed by Pat Cummins of Australia.

In the ODI batsmen table, India captain Virat Kohli has retained his No. 1 position. Rohit Sharma is at second place followed by Babar Azam.

India and New Zealand will now play two Tests starting on February 21 in Wellington. The second and final Test is in Christchurch from February 29.
