The MSK Prasad-led selection committee will have to take a call on Dhoni, who has not played for India since the ICC World Cup 2019 in England and Wales.

Dhoni had taken a break from cricket to serve in the Indian Army. On Tuesday (October 22), he was spotted in the Indian dressing room in Ranchi as the Virat Kohli-led side completed a 3-0 clean sweep over South Africa in the third Test.

With former India captain Sourav Ganguly set to take charge as the president of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) tomorrow (October 23), he is likely to meet captain Virat Kohli on the sidelines of the selection meeting.

There are reports that Kohli could opt out of the T20Is against Bangladesh to take rest.

Meanwhile, on Monday (October 21), Bangladesh cricketers went on strike asking the country’s board to fulfil their demands. They have put forth 11 demands.
