New Delhi: Reporting that over 3,90,026 units were sold in August, Bajaj Auto on Tuesday said that its sales had declined by 11% for the month.

The company had sold 437,092 units in the same month a year ago.

In a regulatory filing, the two-wheeler and three-wheeler manufacturing company stated that domestic sales in August this year stood at 2,08,109 units as against 2,55,631 units, marking a decline of 19%.

Sales of motorcycles also fell by 10% as the company sold 3,25,300 units last month compared to 3,62,923 units sold in August last year.

64,726 units of commercial vehicles were sold last month while 74,169 units were sold in the same month last year, indicating a decline of 13%, the company stated.

Exports in August were flat at 1,81,917 units as against 1,81,461 units exported in the corresponding month last year, it added.
