Israel Prime minister’s son, Yair Netanyahu’s Facebook account was blocked after reposting a screenshot of a previously banned post which called for avenging the death of two Israeli soldiers and the expulsion of Palestinians.
Tel Aviv: Facebook blocked Israeli Prime Minister’s son, Yair Netanyahu on the social medial platform for 24 hours. This move came after Yair shared previously banned content. He also criticised the social media platform and called the “thought police.”
This is not the first time that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's son has made such remarks. He has been in the news and has faced criticism for his crude social media posts.
Facebook had previously deleted a post by him where he stated that he would prefer it if all Muslims would leave the land of Israel.
In the most recent incident Facebook had removed a post in which he called for “avenging the deaths” of two Israeli soldiers. The two Israeli soldiers were killed by Palestinian gunmen. Yair slammed the website and posted a screen shot of the banned post and called for the expulsion of Palestinians.
Facebook has not commented yet.
