Bangladesh student protests: Hundreds injured in unprecedented crackdown

What started off as a student agitation against rash driving has ended up being one of the biggest popular uprising against the Sheikh Hasina government, thanks to the unprovoked and unprecedented use of brute force. From lathi charge to firing, students of Bangladesh have braved it all. At least 500 are reported to be injured with many admitted with grievous injuries. The United Nation has expressed deep concern even as India is keeping a close watch.
