Vavuniya (Sri Lanka): A man was arrested on Wednesday (May 8) in Mutkomban area of Pooneryn, Kilinochchi, after recovering several country-made weapons and explosives.
According to reports, police have recovered firearms, ammunition and two swords inside a house in the area during a raid of the Sri Lanka Army and police officers.
In a separate incident, 15 identification cards under various names were recovered from an abandoned house in the Salambakulam area in Vavuniya. A case has been registered at Poovarasankulam Police station and investigations are underway to locate the owner of the house.
