Suresh Gopi to contest from Thrissur as NDA candidate

Thrissur: Malayalam film actor and MP Suresh Gopi will contest from Thrissur for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections as an NDA candidate. According to reports, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP chief Amit Shah invited Suresh Gopi to New Delhi to request him to accept the ticket for the Thrissur Lok Sabha constituency and he agreed.

Earlier, Thushar Vellappally from the BDJS was named as the NDA candidate for Thrissur. But Thushar was given the Wayanad Lok Sabha ticket after it was announced that Rahul Gandhi would be the Congress candidate from Wayanad.
