Bengaluru: Taking a dig at former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda, Karnataka BJP president BS Yeddyurappa said that the JD(S) would go on to lose the elections in Hassan where Gowda's grandson Prajwal Revanna is contesting. He also wondered if the sum of Rs 1,344 crore, released much before the work started in the district of Hassan, was being used for Lok Sabha elections. This, he said proved that the state government was not a “10% commission government”, but a “20% commission government”.

Yeddyurappa also added that the BJP-backed Sumalatha would go on to register a victory in Mandya, against chief minister HD Kumaraswamy’s son and Gowda’s grandson Nikhil.
