Desiring Modi to be PM again, Congressmen didn’t support Nikhil in Mandya: JDS MLA

Bengaluru: In what might come as embarrassing for the ruling Congress-JD(S) coalition in Karnataka, one of its own members, Suresh Gowda, a JD(S) MLA from Nagamangala has said Congress members from the Mandya region wanted Narendra Modi to return as the Prime Minister, and therefore, they did not work in favour of chief minister HD Kumaraswamy’s son Nikhil in the Lok Sabha poll.

It might be recalled that Kumaraswamy was unhappy over a few Congressmen extending their support to Sumalatha, the independent candidate backed by the BJP.
