Yadagiri: Karnataka BJP president BS Yeddyurappa on Sunday (June 9) said that the HD Kumaraswamy-led coalition government has decided to give 3,600 acres of land to JSW Steel. This decision by the chief minister has caused BJP leaders to hold a three-day sit-in protest in Bengaluru and other cities in the state.

The company owned by Sajjan Jindal has already occupied about 7,000 acres of land in the state. Yeddyurappa opposed the move of granting more land for mining and said that the land could instead be used for new projects of the state government.
