Senior Samajwadi Party leader Azam Khan on Sunday hit a new low when he made a derogatory remark about BJP leader Jaya Prada at a public rally in Rampur.
Khan said, "Jaya Prada's underwear is of saffron colour. It may have taken you 17 years to realise that, but I realised in 17 days".
BJP spokesperson and in charge of Rampur Lok Sabha seat, Chandramohan, said: “We are requesting the Election Commission to take cognisance. Khan said this in the presence of Akhilesh Yadav. He should tell what kind of politics he is doing.”
However, Khan dismissed the allegations and said that he will not contest in the Lok Sabha elections if proven guilty.
