A BSP supporter in Bulandshahr chopped off his finger after casting his vote for the "wrong" party.

The Dalit youth, instead of voting for BSP's elephant, pressed the button beside BJP's lotus. In repentance, he chopped off his finger with an axe, in Japanese Yakuza style.

The incident happened in Bulandshahr's Abdullahpur Hulaspur village during the second phase of the Lok Sabha elections. Pavan had gone to cast his vote at a village pooling booth and when he realised his mistake after coming home, he took the drastic step.

Pavan was taken to a primary healthcare centre and released after treatment. His actions were testimony to his unquestioning allegiance to Mayawati.
