Yesvantpur-Tatanagar Superfast Express from Bengaluru catches fire

Godavari: The Yesvantpur-Tatanagar Superfast Express caught fire on Tuesday at the East Godavari district in Andhra Pradesh. But timely action by the railway staff prevented any casualties. The train started from Bengaluru and had reached East Godavari at 2 am, when a railway worker observed fire in the pantry car of the train. Immediately the car was separated from the train and a major fire accident was averted. The pantry car has been completely destroyed. However, the reason for origin of the fire is not known yet. Meanwhile, the staff tried to douse the fire but in vain. This also led to delay in other train services from Andhra Pradesh. No injuries have been reported so far.
