On the occasion of Women's Day, the Kerala Women's Commission organised a mega mela in which women from different parts of the state gathered and leaders of various fields were felicitated
Kochi: In a mega-meeting for women, held on Friday, various women-achievers in Kerala were honoured. 96-year-old Karthayani Amma who scored 98 marks out of 100 in the state's literacy programme was felicitated. The sole fisherwoman in Kerala, the first woman to trek the Agasthyarkoodam peak, a homemaker who topped the state-level karate competition and many women leaders of various fields were also felicitated in the event. Over 3,000 women participated in the special event.
