Why Union government donated Re 1 towards the Ram Mandir Trust

Bengaluru: The Centre made a donation of Re 1 in cash towards the Ram Mandir Trust. The trust will accept donations, grants, subscriptions, aids or contribution from any person in cash, kind. The rules state that the trust can also take a loan. The donations received for the Ram Temple will be used only for the work of the trust. The Mahavir Temple from Bihar has announced a donation of Rs 10 crore for the construction of the Ram Mandir. Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced in the Lok Sabha that the trust will oversee the construction of the Ram Mandir at Ayodhya.
