External affairs minister S Jaishankar returned from a weeklong trip to Belgium and Germany. This was an important visit by Jaishankar as it would pave the visit by Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the European Union Summit in March. The visit by Jaishankar came in the wake of some British members of the European Parliament wanting to pass a resolution against the newly amended citizenship law in India.
