Kolkata: In a shocking incident, a woman was allegedly gang-raped by four men after she demanded officials to return the bribe money that she had given for the allocation of a house under the rural below-poverty-line (BPL) housing scheme.
According to reports, an FIR has been registered against the four people including a local panchayat member of the Trinamool Congress (TMC) in Maynaguri Police station. The police have begun a probe in this regard.
It is also said that the woman had allegedly paid Rs 7,000 to the officials.
