Bhatpara: Barely 12 hours before Bhatpara assembly goes for by-polls, violence has returned to the state. Not only crude bombs were hurled, but two vehicles were also burnt down. The Bhatpara by-election is being conducted along with the last phase of Lok Sabha election

The BJP has alleged that Trinamool was behind the incidents

The problems started when Trinamool turncoat Arjun Singh faced the wrath of Trinamool cadre. Singh in March had resigned from the Bhatpara seat and decided to contest as a BJP candidate from the Barrackpore Lok Sabha constituency.
