Visakhapatnam: Man attacks college student with a screwdriver

Visakhapatnam: A man in Visakhapatnam attacked a college student with a screwdriver when she was returning home from college. The student, identified as Yashoda was rushed to a local hospital. 

Yashoda suffered injuries to her neck, shoulder, chest and ribs. Meanwhile passers-by caught the accused Sai and handed him over to the police.

Sai, a resident of Bheemunigummam near Anakapalli, has allegedly been harassing the student for the past few years.

Sai allegedly attacked the woman for turning him down. It is being said that Sai attacked the girl since she refused his advances.

According to her friends, Yashoda had complained about the harassment to the college administration in the past. She is expected to be transferred to King George Hospital in Visakhapatnam.
