The film crew is absconding after the incident and an arrest warrant has been issued against film director, producer and two other members of the film crew. The cylinder explosion that occurred on the sets killed a 28-year-old woman and her 5-year-old daughter who were watching the shooting of the film.
Bengaluru: A cylinder blast while shooting the action sequence of the Kannada film Ranam took two lives. 28-year-old Sumera Banu and her 5-year-old daughter Ayra Banu were killed on the spot. Ayra’s sister, Zainab, sustained injuries and is being treated at a hospital in Yelahanka. Arrest warrants have been issued against the director, producer and two other members of the film crew, who are absconding since the tragic incident. The movie which is being made in Kannada and Telugu stars Chiranjeevi Sarja and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar. The incident occurred around 4:15pm at the KIADB Hardware Park near Bagaluru.
