Vellore: 25-year-old Nandakumar, who was abducted from his finance firm on Tuesday, has been rescued within nine hours. The gang abducted Nandakumar from his firm at Vellore’s Green circle in Tamil Nadu and demanded a ransom of Rs 5 lakh from his father.
Vellore police intensified the surveillance and conducted vehicle checks in order to ensure that the gang doesn’t leave the district.
The gang feared arrest and left Nandakumar near Arcot before fleeing the place. Police officials said that two rowdies were involved in the kidnap, based on the CCTV footage collected from the spot.
Based on the complaint filed by Nandakumar, the police have formed special teams to intercept the gang and are on the lookout for the abductors.
