Chennai: Saravanan from Ambur, Vellore district of Tamil Nadu, decided to circulate obituary posters of his daughter after she married her lover belonging to a different caste. According to sources, 21-year-old Archana was in love with Subramani, both belonging to different castes. Father of the girl had opposed their love. When Saravanan came to know that his daughter got married to the lover against his wishes, he decided to print and circulate posters claiming 'daughter dead'.
The poster also said that the death took place on June 9, and that a funeral would take place on June 10. The couple sought police protection soon after.
