Bengaluru: Former chief minister, MP of Karnataka, Veerappa Moily lashed out at chief minister HD Kumaraswamy his idea of taking up grama vastavya (village stay). He said that it is not enough that the chief minister tours the villages of Karnataka.  The veteran Congress leader said that the chief minister must respond to the problems of people.

While speaking to media in Bengaluru on Saturday, he stated that one of the major reasons for the defeat of the coalition in the recently concluded Lok Sabha election was the non-responsiveness of the government in addressing the real issues of the people.

Veerappa Moily was defeated by BJP candidate BN Bache Gowda in Chikkaballapur in the Lok Sabha election.
