Uttar Pradesh woman beaten to death by husband for opposing gutkha addiction

Allahabad: A 36-year-old woman was found lifeless in a battered state in Parsara village of Uttar Pradesh’s Kaushambi district. Her son who was sitting with police said it was his father and uncles who beat up the woman to death, simply because she opposed her husband’s gutkha addiction. Police have taken Manoj Tiwari, the victim Sangeetha’s husband in to custody. The son said that Manoj had asked Sangeetha to buy gutkha but she opposed it. The couple began to argue and Sangeetha slapped Manoj.
