The BJP is banking on the support of the BJP, Shiv Sena to ensure that the Triple Talaq bill sees the light of day at a time when the opposition seems to be adamant in their stance against it.
The government has listed the contentious Triple Talaq Bill for consideration and passage in the Rajya Sabha. The opposition has sought for a parliamentary committee to scrutinise the bill, while the ruling has said that the bill is a step towards gender equality and secularism. The BJP is now banking on the BJD and the Shiv Sena to back it.
