Telangana Congress leaders V Hanumantha Rao and Harsha Kumar are now in police custody after they tried to install a statue of Dr BR Ambedkar at Punjagutta centre in Hyderabad.
Hyderabad: Telangana Congress leader V Hanumantha Rao and former Amalapuram MP Harsha Kumar were taken into police custody for allegedly trying to install a statue of BR Ambedkar at Punjagutta Centre in Hyderabad.
Rao had spent Rs 5 lakh on the statue and erected at Punjagutta Centre as he believed that Ambedkar was ignored by the Telangana government during the bifurcation.
He has now stated that if the Ambedkar statue does not get erected, then the statue of YS Rajasekhar Reddy that is present at the spot will be demolished.
