Chennai: Tamil Nadu BJP president Tamilisai Soundararajan has attacked the opposition saying that it has been looting the people for a long time now. She went on to say that as a politician, one must approach it as a 'seva' for the people.
"As politicians, we must take pride to serve the people, not loot them," said Tamilisai.
She added that the Prime Minister himself is a person who works to serve the people, and the party is definitely committed to do so too.
Tamilisai Soundararajan's comments come after the BJP began a 'mein bhi chowkidar' campaign on Twitter. Leaders, right from Prime Minister Narendra Modi to BJP president Amit Shah and Union minister Piyush Goyal, changed their twitter handle with a prefix 'chowkidar'.
