Tamil Nadu: Shopkeeper attacks writer Jeyamohan for demanding better dosa batter

Chennai: Well-known Tamil and Malayalam writer B Jeyamohan was allegedly assaulted by a shopkeeper on Saturday (June 15) near his residence in Nagercoil, Kanyakumari district for questioning the quality of dosa batter.

According to Jeyamohan, the writer purchased dosa batter from a shop and returned home. After reaching his house, Jeyamohan found that the batter was bitter and hence went back to the shop and complained about it.

This angered Selvam, the shopkeeper, who began to assault the writer on the road. The writer was then admitted to a hospital in Asaripallam, Nagercoil for treatment. He later filed a complaint with police regarding the same.
