The devotee, Thangadurai, travelled from Tamil Nadu's Theni district to Andhra Pradesh and visited Lord Venkateshwara at Tirupati. He later handed over the golden idols to the TTD officials on Saturday.
Tirupati: Thangadurai, a resident from Theni, Tamil Nadu, and an ardent devotee of Lord Venkateswara on Saturday (June 15) donated a pair of golden ‘Varada-Abhaya Hasta (hand)’ idols to the presiding deity at Tirupati temple. The devotee handed over the 5.5 kg of gold worth over Rs 3 crore to Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) authorities in Andhra Pradesh.
