Alanganallur: Elangovan, a financier by profession, was hacked to death right in front of his house in Madurai’s Alanganallur town of Tamil Nadu. Police have arrested his second wife and her daughter in the case.
Elangovan was outside his house when six people riding two bikes barged into his house and attacked him with machetes and sickles. The CCTV footage shows a bleeding Elangovan trying to escape from his attackers.
During the course of investigation, it came to light that the deceased’s second wife Abhirami, had hired the six people to kill her husband for allegedly sexually molesting her 21-year-old daughter.
Elangovan had allegedly continued to sexually assault the woman’s daughter despite being confronted about it. Police said that in a fit of rage, Abhirami hired people to kill him.
The police have arrested Abhirami and her daughter and are currently on the lookout for the accused who came on motorbikes to kill Elangovan.
