Madurai: A 41-year-old man has been arrested on charges of raping four minor girls who were under his care at a girls’ home in Tamil Nadu. According to reports the sexual exploitation has been ongoing for at least a couple of months now before it came to light.
The home that is located in Madurai’s Samayanallur has been sealed and all inmates have been shifted to a nearby home. The Madurai Police informed the district child welfare committee which then conducted an inquiry and unearthed the exploitation.
The accused has been identified as K Adhisivan, a native of Karumathur in Madurai district. He was produced before the judicial magistrate before being lodged in prison under judicial custody.
He has been booked under various sections of the POCSO Act and IPC.
