Tamil Nadu: Madurai temple trustee accused of placing hidden cameras in women's washrooms

Madurai: The Saduraigiri Malai temple in Tamil Nadu’s Madurai is in news after the temple trustee, Pachayappan has been accused of sexual misconduct.

Pachayappan allegedly placed a hidden cameras in the washrooms where women trustees would stay before temple rituals were conducted.

A woman trustee allegedly found a suspicious object and upon investigating it, realised it was a hidden camera. She immediately rushed to Madurai Police and lodged a complaint.

Pachayappan has also been accused of stealing temple idols in the past. Police have arrested him and investigation is underway.
