Cuddalore: A 19-year-old girl on Monday (June 10) night committed suicide after a man posted her morphed picture on Facebook. Prem Kumar, the man who posted her picture (obscene in nature) on Facebook, hails from the same city as that of the girl - Neyveli, Cuddalore district, Tamil Nadu. He had earlier proposed to the victim, which she had rejected as she was in a relationship with another man.
Spurned lover Prem Kumar morphed the victim's photo and posted an obscene picture of hers on Facebook and tagged her boyfriend, Vignesh.
Though the victim's parents tracked down Prem Kumar and argued with him regarding the post, the victim, who was unable to come to terms with the humiliation, committed suicide at her residence.
As her boyfriend heard the tragic news of his girlfriend's death, he too committed suicide while he was on his way to the victim's residence.
The family members of the 19-year-old girl staged a protest against Prem Kumar and urged the Cuddalore Police to arrest him immediately.
