Madurai:  Education minister Sengottaiyan met with reporters at the Madurai airport and said that the government has achieved a feat by delivering over 15 lakh laptops to students who have completed Class 11 and 12 this year.

The government is also working to ensure that students who graduated last year also get their laptops.

Sengottaiyan also said that the government is working towards bringing in a new TV channel wherein scholars can give their expertise on various topics that would be useful for students.

Speaking about NEET, Sengottaiyan alleged that it was the Congress who brought in NEET and now they themselves are opposing it.

“Our aim is to provide training in 413 centres for NEET exams. This year, the pass percentage stands at 48.39. I am pleased to announce that this year, but next year thousands of students will succeed,” the education minister stated.
