A police constable working with Ramanathapuram’s Thondi Police in Tamil Nadu was caught on camera seeking bribe, while he was filtering illicit liquor into a bottle.
Rameswaram: Ramkumar, a police constable from Ramanathapuram, Tamil Nadu, was caught on camera, not only encouraging the sale of illicit liquor in the area, but also seeking bribe for it.
Ramkumar could be seen filtering a pot of illicit liquor aka toddy into a bottle of water all the while seeking a transfer of Rs 5,000 or Rs 10,000 into his account.
Ramanathapuram district police superintendent Omprakash Meena has demanded that the department take action against the cops who have been bribed in order to curb sale of illegal liquor.
