Sri Lanka blasts: Security stepped up in Karnataka bus stations

Bengaluru: In view of terror threats in part of Southern India, the KSRTC Managing Director, Shivayogi C Kalasad, has asked security in public places to be stepped up. 

“Security has been tightened in all public places like bus stands,” read his letter. All Divisional Controllers and Security officers have been instructed to report the action-taken compliance every hour to the Central Control Room.

Orders have been given to increase checks in bus stations and luggage rooms. The public has been instructed to inform the nearest police station if one finds anything or any person suspicious.
