Ramanathapuram: Two fishermen who had gone missing on July 4 were rescued from sea near Embavayal in Pudukottai district. But search for two more fishermen who are still missing has reached the fifth day. Stephen, 42, and Anthony, 40, had ventured into the sea four days ago and were found clung to capsized fibreglass boat about 16 nautical miles off Nambuthalai. They were later taken to the coastal hamlet of Embavayal in Pudukottai district and then shifted to the government hospital at Manamelkudi. Their condition is said to be stable.

Two other fishermen, Chindas, 43, and Minon, 41, are still missing and are feared drowned. Search operations being carried out by fishermen, the Indian Coast Guard and Indian Naval Air Station personnel has been marred due to poor visibility.
