Paintings of 80-year-old Indian tribal woman showcased at exhibition in Italy

Umaria (Madhya Pradesh): The paintings made by an 80-year-old tribal woman are now being showcased at the ongoing exhibition in Italy. Paintings of Jodhaiya Bai Baiga are showcased at Milan which is global capital of fashion and design. She hails from Umaria district’s Lorha village in Madhya Pradesh. Jodhaiya Bai’s teacher Ashish Swami said, “She has to achieve many more milestones now. It is a little late, but better late than never. She has been coming to our centre since 2008. She now has to achieve many more milestones. Tribal women like her have started displaying their talent only now,” he added.
