Kollam: Kerala police, on Wednesday, confirmed that the main accused in the Oachira kidnap case is Muhammed Roshan, son of a CPI(M) branch secretary and a native of Valiyakulangara.  A gang of four people barged into a home and abducted a minor girl after attacking her parents.

Sources say the abduction of a minor from Kollam was aimed at sexual trafficking. Two among the four-member gang who abducted the girl are in police custody. Vipin, a native of Changankulangara and Ananthu, a native of Oachira, are among those held. The car used in the abduction was found abandoned in Kayamkulam. The two told police that they abandoned the car in the location as instructed by Roshan. Police suspect that Roshan and another accused, Pyari, fled to Bengaluru with the girl. The car used in the crime is owned by a native of Kulashekarapuram, who runs a car rental business.  The investigation has been intensified by the Kerala Police who are camped in Bengaluru and Karnataka police.

Regarding this incident Roshan's father, Navas said, "I won't save my son if he is found guilty".
