National Sports Day 2019: Andhra Pradesh government holds cycle rally in Vijayawada

Vijayawada: A cycle rally was organised by the Andhra Pradesh government on the occasion of National Sports Day on Thursday (August 29). District collector, Commissioner of Police, Municipal commissioner, government officials and school-going children participated in the cycle rally in Vijayawada. The National Sports Day in India is celebrated every on August 29, on the birth anniversary of hockey legend Major Dhyan Chand.

According to reports, people from all 13 states participated in the cycle rally. The rally was conducted as an awareness programme for people to be physically fit. Every year, on this special day, sportspersons across India promote the importance of sports.
