Chennai: DMK’s Dindigul Lok Sabha candidate P Velusami who now seems to be vehemently opposing the Hindi language in Tamil Nadu, was once caught speaking in the language to woo voters.

Velusami, during a rally addressed the people of Dindigul constituency in Hindi and told them they could call him any time and he would come to their rescue.

Velusami had said that besides Tamil, he is fluent in Hindi, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam. Velusami’s aide even spoke to the crowd and said that he was only speaking in Hindi to drive home the point that he knows several languages.

However, now Velusami and the DMK are up in arms against the draft of the National Education Policy 2019.
