Jasia Akhtar of Bradiporta Shopian has become the first woman cricketer from Jammu and Kashmir to play in the women's IPL T20 this season. Akhtar will play for the Trailblazers, captained by Smrithi Mandhana in the three-team women's T20 league.
Akhtar is an opening batter for Punjab and has scored an unbeaten 44 in the final of the T20 Queens XI Cricket League.
