Maharashtra rains: NDRF, police personnel continue to battle tirelessly in rescue operations

Kolhapur /Sangli (Maharashtra): The National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) has rescued around 30 people from flood-affected areas in parts of Maharashtra on Tuesday. Meanwhile, 1.13 lakh people in 15 districts in Maharashtra continue to endure heavy rainfall and floods.

The NDRF and local police have been carrying out rescue and relief operations across the state after days of continuous rain.

On Tuesday, the Indian Meteorological Department predicted light to moderate rains for Mumbai, and heavy rains in isolated places in adjoining Thane, Palghar and Raigad districts.
