After stopping service to Belagavi route due to floods, the Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC), has now halted services from Bengaluru to Chamarajanagar, Mysuru, Nanjangud and HD Kote as excess water has been released from Kabini dam
Bengaluru: The state-owned Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation’s (KSRTC) bus services to southern parts of Karnataka have been affected as excess water from Kabini dam has flooded roads and agricultural fields. Due to heavy rains in Kodagu, Chikkamagaluru and surrounding areas, the Kabini dam received excess water and before reaching the danger mark, the water was released from the dam. According to KSRTC, bus services stopped from 6.45 am on Friday (August 9) on Mysuru-Madikeri and Mysuru-HD Kote region, and Gundlupet that fall under Chamarajanagar division. The authorities say the buses to the respective destinations are plying now from alternate routes from Hullahalli and Kempasiddaianahundi.
